We, at Consult Club, are always on the lookout for the unconventional. This academic session, we found what we were looking for within a week of welcoming the new batch of PGP students to the campus. The leadership of Transganization – School of Thought, a consulting firm working with Entrepreneurs to educate and implement transformation mantras into their organizations, came down to our campus to provide a new paradigm of case-solving to the IIMA community.
Mr. Rohit Arora, Founder and CEO, Transganization, talked about his experience with Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and how about 6 Lakh such companies in India struggle to make that crucial leap into becoming big businesses. With most of the traditional case studies having been written on big and established companies, there is very little literature available on how to deal with the unique problems these enterprises face. Mr. Rohit, with years of experience of helping these small business to either scale up or emerge out of dire situations, revealed how he and his team have managed to transform 60+ SMEs. The team also introduced Prerna, an annual business case study competition held across top B-schools in India.
The session was highly interactive, with intense participation from several attendees. The team was glad to spot some students feeling a connection with the unconventional thought process that the leadership of Transganization has. The following words from Transganization commemorate their delightful experience at IIMA:
“It was a phenomenal experience to interact with Consult Club of IIM A. We at TransGanization believe very strongly that if the reason of any organization is clear in it’s team and they work for it in a selfless way, the organization provides a great experience to anyone who touches it. We felt the same when we met the team of Consult Club. We had an excellent interaction with the students and that was the best part. We congratulate the IIM A community for being such wonderful hosts. We look forward to working with you more in the days to come on many more initiatives.”
